In The Wild Flowers Process, Chana Joglar explores the profound relationship between nature, emotion, and the act of painting. Her creative process emerges from a direct and visceral encounter with the landscape, particularly the Cantabrian coast surrounding her studio. The sound of the sea, the northeast air, the changing light, and the unpredictable movement of nature become catalysts for an intuitive and spontaneous form of expression.

Rejecting preliminary drawing and academic restraint, Joglar allows gesture and colour to lead the painting. Broad, energetic brushstrokes transform colour into both image and emotional language. The wildflowers that appear throughout the series are not botanical representations, but manifestations of the vitality, freedom, and unpredictability of the natural world.

Her vibrant palette—intense greens, luminous yellows, deep reds and violets, and enveloping blues—does more than describe what she sees; it conveys what she feels. The painted mark becomes a vehicle for translating inner sensations onto the canvas, creating a dialogue between the external landscape and the artist’s inner world.

Each work is therefore a unique response to a fleeting moment. Through an expressive and deeply physical process, The Wild Flowers Process moves beyond representation to become an affirmation of nature’s energy, fragility, and constant transformation.
